One member has been fighting for his life and has a long road to recovery ahead. The emotional trauma of this has taken it’s toll as well. School counselors have been working around the clock to counsel the students and make sure that they are okay.
Eddie Tyler, Superintendent of the Baldwin County Schools released this statement on the three students:
“I visited with two of our students at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. They have been through an unimaginable amount and they have more medical procedures still ahead. Yet they are in remarkable spirits. I also visited with the mom of our student who is at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile. This student also has been through a horrific experience and has much more care ahead. These families greatly appreciate your concern.”
The band world is continuing to rally around them. The GoFundMe we shared a few days ago has raised over $30,000 from nearly 500 donations.
